Substance use often develops in the context of stress, trauma, emotional pain, survival patterns, relationships, or attempts to cope with overwhelming experiences.
Recovery challenges can also affect more than one individual. They often impact relationships, communication, trust, emotional well-being, and family dynamics. Recovery support is not only about stopping a behavior, it is also about understanding patterns, strengthening supports, and building healthier ways of coping, connecting, and living.
As a dual-licensed counselor and LCDC, we work with individuals navigating substance use, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, trauma, and recovery-related challenges, court or probation-related matters, transitioning back into the community after incarceration, or returning to school and community settings after disciplinary placements.
Our approach is compassionate, direct, and non-shaming. We believe lasting recovery involves both accountability and support. Counseling can help individuals and families move beyond survival patterns toward greater stability, clarity, and resilient growth.
Recovery can place strain on communication, boundaries, trust, and family relationships. Family support services may help individuals and loved ones strengthen understanding, improve communication, and navigate recovery-related challenges with greater clarity and support.
We use practical, evidence-based approaches tailored to each person's needs and goals, including relapse prevention planning, emotional regulation skills, and strengths-based support tailored to each person's needs. Recovery is not simply about removing a substance. It is also about strengthening roots: emotional awareness, support systems, healthy coping, boundaries, self-understanding, and sustainable patterns for long-term growth.
Whether you are exploring change, actively pursuing recovery, rebuilding after relapse, transitioning back into school or community settings, or seeking support for the first time, counseling can provide a space to process honestly without shame while developing practical tools for meaningful change.

We are dedicated to providing personalized care to each of our clients, and are committed to ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques.
